Former Lightning 100 air talent and official station voice, Sue Wilkinson ("That British Chick"), moves to L.A. to pursue an acting and national voice-over career. She continues to serve as the official Lightning 100 station voice thanks to the miracles of technology.
Keith Coes interviews Shannon Curfman at River Stages
WRLT is the sole radio sponsor for Nashville's annual "River Stages" celebration, and brings acts like the Allman Brothers Band, Indigo Girls and Widespread Panic to downtown Nashville. Over 120,000 people attend during the weekend.
Fred Buc at the L&C Tower
Five-Year Traffic Director Lyndie House departs the station and moves to Florida.
Lightning 100 takes over the fledgling "Uptown Mix" outdoor concert series held on a site across from the Bound'ry and Southstreet restaurants, and grows the previous year's average attendance from 200 per week to over 7,000 participants per week over the 12-week series.
